Here are five tips to save money in iBiza
If you’re off to iBiza for your holidays this Summer take these tips to make your money stretch a little further.
1. Book your flight and hotel in Ibiza online - When you go online to make travel arrangements you can often save a lot of money by comparing prices on flights and the price of great Ibiza hotels. You can also find great last minute deals on luxury Ibiza hotel rooms, car rental, and other things that you will need for trip. But if you’re going to book your flight, hotel, car rental or activities online be ready to buy because often if you don’t snap up a deal immediately you won’t find it again.
2. Eat like a local - ask a local to recommend a good value place to eat. A lot of the tourist restaurants are just designed to take your money. One of the main costs of a holiday is eating out. When you eat like a local you also get a real sense of the iBiza flavour. There are a lot of set meal caf’s on the island where for only a few Euros you can get a bottle of wine and a three course meal - ask around.
3. Rent - Don’t stay in a hotel rent a private property. You will find loads on the internet. You can also go self catering when you rent and save a fortune on food bills as well. Make sure you go to the locals supermarket though and not the tourist trap grocery store.
4. Jump on a bus - Don’t rent a car. iBiza has a great air conditioned bus service to all the major destinations. Why rent a car only to leave it unused all day in a car park while you sit on the beach.
5. Use Local Supermarkets for snacks and drinks - When you are out and about in iBiza and you want to snack or get some fizzy drinks use the big supermarkets for you treats. Most resort shop charge an arm and a leg for stuff like this. The beach shops are also expensive - so plan ahead!
